  Awesome food, great atmosphere

  My partner and I ordered a crispy salmon with gnocchi, the service lady didn't put it in right and we were waiting until after 8:30 for our meal until someone asked us if we were waiting for food and they realised the mistake. It was the chefs last meal to cook and they sure rushed it, our salmon was cold and raw. We would have took it back if the cooks were still there. The seasoning though was sublime, and we had a random sauce/gravy with it which was taking up half the plate for such a small bit of salmon. I didn't like it but to get the raw taste out we drowned it in the sauce. The gnocchi was way too garlicky and was just sickening after a while. The lady said the meals are huge but they were below average for a tavern. As I said the horrible sauce was half the plate. For $32 or so I would have expected much more. The only good thing out of it was that we received a free round of drinks as compensation for the ordering mistake, and although it was a stuff up the staff were nice and apologetic. If I ever go back it will be for lunch where I can spend less and not have higher expectations due to this experience.
